Utah Law Review

The Utah Law Review was founded in 1948 with the purpose of serving theinterests of students and the bench and bar of the state and surrounding areas. Since then, its scope has expanded to include legal issues of importance both domestically and internationally. The Utah Law Review is a student-run organization, with all editorial and organizational decisions made by student-editors enrolled at the S.J.Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. The Utah Law Review publishes four issues per year, with each issue containing approximately 250 pages of legal scholarship.

The Utah Law Review carefully selects and publishes articles from professors, judges, and practitioners throughout the world who are well known for their knowledge in diverse areas related to legal studies. Also published in the Utah Law Review are student-written pieces submitted by members of the Utah Law Review staff, which, like all published materials in the journal, are subject to a rigorous editorial process designed to refine and strengthen substance and format.

2007 Symposium:
"Fixing Copyright: Proposals for Change from Leading Theorists"

The Utah Law Review also publishes a special symposium edition, including articles by scholars throughout the country on an area of legal scholarship anticipated to be influential in coming years, and intended to be a significant aid to scholarly discussion. Topics have include "Ethics, Bioethics, and Family Law," "New Approaches to Comparative Law," "Restorative Justice," "Legal Archaeology", "Crime Victims," and most recently in 2006, "Antitrust - In Honor of John Flynn." The 2007 special symposum issue is entitled "Fixing Copyright: Proposals for Change from Leading Theorists."
