Wynne Smith

Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Wynne completed her bachelor’s degree in business from Utah State University with an emphasis in sales and marketing. She has 15 years of fund-raising experience in public radio, corporate giving, and private boarding school support. She has been with the college for over four years.

Karen McLeese

Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving

Karen’s alma mater is the University of Utah. She graduated with a degree in history. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Karen has worked at the law school for more than 30 years. She is a veteran fund-raiser with a natural gift for making friends and forging alliances with nearly all of our graduates. Her expertise ranges from managing innovative fund-raising activities to staging successful class reunions.

Debra Becher

Executive Secretary for Development and Alumni Relations

A true mid-Westerner from Chicago, Illinois, Debbie’s range of administrative skills is broad. She manages all alumni and fund-raising information, develops tracking systems for database management, and organizes all correspondence with friends, the legal community, and alumni. Debbie has been with the college for nearly six years—20 years at the University. She has an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Triton Community College.

Miriam Lovin

Special Events Coordinator

Miriam comes to the law school from the Legal Career Services Office. Prior to that position, Miriam ran a family-owned business. She handles the college’s special events with flair and with particular attention to the nitty-gritty details that make an event truly memorable. She is originally from Arizona.
