Leslie D Brown

Biography

Leslie D. Brown is an adjunct faculty member at the S.J. Quinney College of Law. He teaches Juvenile Justice Administration. He formerly served as a Judge in the Fourth District Juvenile Court for twenty seven years and presently serves as a Senior Judge. He served twice as Chair of the Utah Board of Juvenile Judges and previously served as a member of the State Judicial Council. He was one of the original members of the Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice. He received his J.D. from the University of Utah and served as a law clerk to Justice F. Henri Henriod of the Utah Supreme Court. He was in private law practice in the firm of Sam, Brown and Park and was the Duchesne County Attorney. He has received the Youth Advocate of the Year Award from the Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice and the Scott M. Matheson Award for lifetime service to troubled youth.
